Women of color have created successful communities all throughout history. We have fed and nurtured nations survived adversity, built economies, and continue to effect meaningful change. The Kijiji Sisterhood provides relevant and appropriate care and support for communities of color. We focus on bringing Black and Brown families together to support each other in our collective growth and advancement.

A Distinct Identity
We support Black people and our allies in Communities of Color in reclaiming the birth and parenting wisdom in our community. In acknowledging our innate power we join together to build, protect, support, teach, celebrate, and cultivate Black motherhood. The Kijiji Sisterhood works to increase the health and well-being by improving birth and breastfeeding outcomes. By removing barriers to learning, support, and culturally appropriate health support we will build a system that improves the maternal and infant mortality in Black and Brown communities.
